Winter Invitational Qualifying: Touring Cars Lay Down Barn-Burners in Saturday's Qualifying

Thermal, Calif. - The Winter Invitational Series might be winding down but the action is just starting to heat up at the Thermal Club. Touring Car competitors took to the track to lay down their best efforts at capturing pole for the fifth round of racing.

At the top of the TCR class, DXDT Racing's CJ Moses took the #04 Honda Civic Type R TCR around the 2.91-mile circuit with a 2:12.780-second lap time good enough for P1.

At the front of the TC class, Lara Tallman's 2:16.865-second lap put her at the forefront of the TC class competitor. Tallman will look for another win behind the wheel of the #3 Rearden Racing Nissan 370Z.

Youngster John Geesbreght took his new-to-series #68 Miligore Motorsport Mazda Global MX-5 Cup ND1 into the class pole position with a 2:25.671-second circuit of the course.

Touring Car competitors next take to the course for Round 5 of the Winter Invitational Competition at 1:35 pm on Saturday.
