AUSTIN, Texas - Nikko Reger ran an impressive qualifying lap of 2:18.886 to grab the TCR-class pole in his #51 Copeland Motorsports Hyundai Veloster N TCR for Saturday’s Race 1. Reger’s teammate Tyler Maxson will start from second in the #74 Copeland Motorsports Hyundai Veloster N TCR with Nate Vincent and the #72 FCP Euro VW Golf GTI TCR in third.
Defending class champion Johan Schwartz claimed the TC pole in the #31 Hard Motorsport BMW M240iR Cup with a 2:24.710 fastest lap. Toby Grahovec and the #26 Classic BMW M240iR Cup will start from second with Jeff Ricca and the new-for-2020 #78 GenRacer Hyundai Veloster N TC in third.
The TCA pole went to Mark Pombo and the #61 MINI JCW Team Mini Cooper JCW with a time of 2:31.786, which he claimed on the last-lap of the session. Tyler Gonzalez will start the #51 Copeland Motorsports Hyundai Veloster Turbo second with Joey Essma and the #22 TechSport Racing Subaru BRZ tS starting third.
