ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (Aug. 26, 2020) – There will be a major contrast in Road America experiences between Fast Track Racing/Classic BMW teammates Toby Grahovec and Bryson Lew this weekend (Aug. 28-30) in the SRO America sports car tripleheader.

For Grahovec, the 2016 TC America series champion and Chicagoland native, the famed Road America track brings back childhood memories as he watched his dad, Duane, compete at the four-mile circuit at age four. The former hockey star at Robert Morris University then began his impressive racing career at Wisconsin road course in the late 1990s.

For Lew, the 17-year-old high school senior from Moraga, Calif., will make his Road America debut after an impressive double podium performance at Sonoma Raceway earlier this month in the No. 27 ClassicBMW.com BMW M240iR sports car against some outstanding competition. Lew, a former French F4 racer, comes from an extensive karting background to enter sports car racing this year.

Grahovec, driving the No. 26 ClassicBMW.com BMW in TC action this weekend, is anxious to return to his home track as well as helping the talented Lew in his initial laps at the historic road circuit.

“We are very excited to return to Road America each year,” said Grahovec, who now resides in Celina, Tex. “My first event there was when I was four years old and I watched my dad race there a lot over the years. Then I started my career at Road America and won a number of races at that classic track. So, coming back is always a thrill and helping younger drivers like Bryson Lew and Phil Bloom in TC and Chandler Hull in GT4 SprintX will be fun for me as well.”

“I’m so excited to be racing at Road America,” said Lew. “I’ve been preparing as much as I can with work on my racing simulator and conditioning with mountain biking. I’m really looking forward to driving this high-speed racetrack. The draft is going to be crucial since there are such long straightaways. Thanks so much to Fast Track Racing/Classic BMW for making this all possible!

Grahovec, team manager for the Fast Track Racing/Classic BMW organization, has thousands of race laps around Road America during his racing career and brings that knowledge this weekend to assist his young teammate when action gets underway in the TC America races which begin this Friday at 1:30 p.m. CDT.
