SONOMA, Calif - After an early-session red flag left only 11 minutes of green flag running for Friday’s second practice, it was Jacob Ruud and the #81 Classic BMW M2 CS Cup that led the way with a fastest lap of 1:52.054, over half a second clear of Tommy McCarthy’s #27 Classic BMW M2 CS Cup car.
In TC it was Eric Powell who took the top time after posting a 1:52.974, good enough for third overall, in the #92 Skip Barber Racing School Honda Civic Type-R. Tom Capizzi’s #52 Auto Technic Racing BMW M240iR would run the second fast time with Toby Grahovec and the #26 Classic BMW entry third.
Series newcomer Jose Blanco and the #99 VGMC Honda Civic Si would lead the TCA division after running a 1:59.345 quickest lap, two-tenths slower than the top time in Session 1. Caleb Bacon in the #18 Forbush Performance Hyundai Veloster Turbo and Jesse Love’s #22 TechSport Racing Toyota 86 would round out the top three.
