Sonoma, California - The TC America Powered by Skip Barber Racing School qualifying session was shortened when the #9 BMW M24 DRS & Garagistic driven by Kris Valdez had an on-track incident that left drivers scrambling to solidify their spot for the grid for Race 1. However, due to force majeure, the SRO race stewards determined that the starting grid for Race 1 will be determined by the times posted during the second practice session on Friday, April 15.
Leading the field representing the TCX class will be #30 BMW M2 CS, HARD Motorsport driven by Steve Streimer. He will line up with #1 BMW M2 CS Fast Track Racing's Jacob Ruud, #57 BMW M2 CS, Accelerating Performance Stephen Cugliari and #76 BMW M2 CS Fast Track Racing rounding out the top four.
At pole position for the TC class is #9 Honda Civic Type-R, Skip Barber Racing School with Kevin Boehm behind the wheel. He will be followed by #37 Honda Civic Type-R LA Honda World Racing Mat Pombo, #60 Mini Cooper JCW Pro TC, MINI JCW Team with Clay Williams driving, and #73 Honda Civic Type-R, LA Honda World Racing's Mike Lamarra.
Leading the field for the TCA class is the #16 Honda Civic Si, Skip Barber Racing School driven by Carter Fartuch who posted the fastest lap time in the class of 1:59.819. Rounding out the top four will be #21 Subaru BRZ, TechSport Racing with Gresham Wagner behind the wheel, with Wagner's teammate #22 Devin Anderson, and the #5 Honda Civic Si, LA Honda World Racing's Spencer Bucknum.
