Celso Neto, a touring car racer from Brazil received an invitation from the Victor Gonzalez Racing Team (VGRT) to participate in the final four TC America powered by Skip Barber races. Neto will be starting in the #8 Honda Civic Type-R car, as a teammate to Sally McNulty. The young Brazilian driver is eager for the opportunity to not only drive for the VGRT team but a chance to drive with Honda.
“With the experience that Celso had in Brazil’s Touring Car championships, we are confident he will perform to his best starting with Watkins Glen,” said team owner Victor Gonzalez.
Neto promises to kick off his debut at full force and show his commitment to the VGRT Team. After his debut race, Neto will then conclude the season with races at Road America, Sebring, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. These tracks will provide an opportunity for Neto to experience racing at some of the best-known, and most challenging tracks in North America. “I am incredibly happy with the chance to represent Brazil in a series such as TC America. Few Brazilians are entered into championships around the world and none with TC America,” said Neto.
