Indianapolis, Indiana - Six months after rolling out onto the rain-soaked tarmac at Sonoma, TC America Powered by Skip Barber Racing School took to the Brickyard Thursday afternoon in preparation for the final race weekend of the 2022 season. The 33-car field set some blistering lap times for their power and displacement, with the top of each class within a second of each other. This is shaping up to be a thrilling end to the 2022 season—Indy’s infield was built for this class.

In TCX, each racer drove their inline-six BMW M2 CS (Cup) in the 1:36 to 1:38 range, with Jacob Ruud claiming the fastest lap of 1:36.078 in his #1 Fast Track Racing rig. Not far off his pace was Lucas Catania in the #26 Rigid Speed car with a 1:36.640, followed by Garrett Adams with a 1:36.818 #54 in his Fast Track Racing Bimmer.

TC saw championship clincher Kevin Boehm at the top of the running order, driving his #9 CrowdStrike Racing by Skip Barber Racing Honda Civic Type-R with a 1:38.896, followed by Ken Fukuda with a 1:39.360 behind the wheel of the #42 Skip Barber Racing School Honda Civic Type-R. Finishing off the top quickest times was Jeff Ricca behind the wheel of his #78 Genracer / Ricca Autosport Hyundai Veloster N DCT TC after laying down a 1:39.383.

In the hotly contested TCA class, World Challenge veteran PJ Groenke laid down the quickest lap time of 1:44.625 in his #62 JCW Team MINI, followed by Bruce Myrehn in the #63 JCW Team MINI with a 1:45.179. Rounding out the top three was Gresham Wagner in the #21 TechSport Racing Subaru BRZ with a 1:45.409.
