The TC America Powered by Skip Barber field was faced with gloomy skies and slick track surfaces for their qualifying session early Saturday morning, with the colder temperatures and wet conditions serving up very different elements for the drivers to contend with. With only 15 minutes on the clock, they set off on their flying laps, tackling the sweeping corners and high speed straightaways with pure focus and determination.

TCX

Dai Yoshihara led the way in the TCX class by ending off the thrilling qualifying session with a last lap sprint to the checkered flag to take pole position on board his No. 99 VGRT Honda Civic Type-R TCX. He set purple sectors across the board, concluding with a time of 2:26.001. Lucas Catania showed off his wet weather driving skills in his No. 26 Rigid Speed Company BMW M2 CS (Cup), lining up second on the grid for the race later today.

It was a good session for BMW, as the manufacturer had four cars qualify within the Top 5 on the grid. Maddie Aust followed in third place in the No. 09 Fast Track Racing BMW M2 CS (Cup), joined by Kenny Schmied in the No. 14 AOA Racing BMW M2 CS (Cup), with Adam Gleason securing fifth place in the No. 21 Fast Track Racing BMW M2 CS (Cup).

TC

It was Celso Neto who came out on top in the TC class on board his No. 7 Skip Barber Racing School Honda Civic Type-R, putting half a second between himself and Clayton Williams in the No. 60 MINI JCW Team Mini JCW Pro TC. Williams’ teammate Cristian Perocarpi followed closely behind them in third, commandeering the No. 37 MINI JCW Team sister car.

The margin between fourth and fifth on the grid came down to 0.003 seconds, with Jeremiah Burton getting behind the wheel of his No. 34 Skip Barber Racing School Honda Civic Type-R to narrowly edge out Sally McNulty in the No. 780 Genracer Hyundai Veloster N DCT TC.

TCA

William Lambros put on a strong performance and sped into pole position in the TCA class, setting a time of 2:34.702, making him the lone driver in the class to creep under the 2:35 minute mark in his No. 77 Skip Barber Racing School Honda Civic Si FE1. P.J. Groenke followed just 0.386 seconds behind to secure second place on the grid in his No. 62 MINI JCW Team Mini JCW.

Spencer Bucknum completed the Top 3 in his No. 5 LA Honda World Racing Honda Civic Si FE1, with Devin Anderson and Mario Biundo following suit in fourth and fifth in the No. 22 TechSport Racing Subaru BRZ and No. 07 LA Honda World Racing Honda Civic Si, respectively.
