TC America Powered by Skip Barber Sets Off for Practice 1 at VIRginia International Raceway

Humidity lingered in the air as bright but cloudy skies loomed overhead for Practice 1 at VIRginia International Raceway for the TC America Powered by Skip Barber field. A total of 23 drivers across three classes took to the track to tackle its twists and turns, utilizing the 30-minute session to familiarize themselves with the circuit’s rolling hills while teams experimented with their setups ahead of an action-packed weekend.

A red flag punctuated the session in the final 10 minutes, which ultimately cut the session slightly short.

Lucas Catania rose to the top of the leaderboard early in the session in his No. 26 Rigid Speed Company BMW M2 CS (Cup), putting together a string of purple sectors to secure the best time of the session with a flying lap time of 2:00.567, the only driver to break into the two-minute mark. They were separated by Maddie Aust in the No. 09 Fast Track Racing BMW M2 CS (Cup), who set the second-fastest time of the session.
