After two highly successful seasons competing in Pirelli GT4 America, Carrus Callas Raceteam is gearing up for a highly anticipated 2024 race season with expanded efforts. The team has confirmed plans to compete across GT America Powered by AWS, Pirelli GT4 America, and the TC America Powered by Skip Barber Racing School championships, setting the stage for an exhilarating season of competition.
Terry Borcheller and Nick Shanny will be joining forces as teammates for their third consecutive season, competing as a pairing in the Pirelli GT4 America championship in the No. 20 car, with Shanny once again resuming his role in the GT America Powered by AWS championship in the No. 21 machine. They will be competing with two powerful BMW G82 M4 GT4 entries.
Additionally, the team is further expanding their presence by adding an entry in the TC America Powered by Skip Barber Racing School with the likes of Chris Walsh in the TCX Class. He will be behind the wheel of a BMW M2.
Team Owner and Team Principal Tony Callas expressed great enthusiasm about the upcoming season and the team’s plans going forward, stating that “Carrus Callas Raceteam has collectively decided to go with the BMW M4 GT4 and we look forward to a great partnership with BMW as they have a clear path forward with their GT4 platform.”
“We have great hopes and believe BMW is the best manufacturer for us moving forward into the 2024 season,” he continued. “Our initial meetings with them have been excellent, and we are very excited to create a new partnership with BMW in the new year.”
