The TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing School field were back under the Texas sun in the afternoon for Practice 2 at Circuit of The Americas, utilizing their second 30-minute session of the day to perfect their setups ahead of Qualifying coming up first thing on Saturday morning.  

Lucas Catania went quickest overall and in the TCX Class, setting a flying lap time of 2:23.579 in the No. 17 Rigid Speed BMW M2 CS (Cup). Jeff Ricca asserted himself in the TC class once more, going fastest in his No. 78 Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N Cup with a time of 2:23.462. PJ Groenke earned top spot in the TCA Class in the No. 62 MINI JCW Team MINI JCW with a time of 2:33.457. 

TCX Class

Lucas Catania established himself early into the session, speeding to the top of the time sheets and maintaining first place throughout the entirety of Practice 2 in his No. 17 Rigid Speed BMW M2 CS (Cup). His flying lap time of 2:23.579 was the fastest overall time in the session, in addition to being the quickest time across both Practice 1 and Practice 2. 

Chris Walsh finished the session in second place in his No. 104 Carrus Callas Raceteam BMW M2 CS (Cup), while Celso Neto had another Top 3 time in Practice 2 on board his No. 22 Skip Barber Racing Acura Integra Type S. Mike Lamarra completed his time on track in fourth place in the No. 73 LA Honda World Racing Acura Integra Type S TCX, while Aaron Kaplan moved up into the Top 5 in the No. 18 Kaplan Racing Systems BMW M2 CS (Cup). 

TC Class

Jeff Ricca had another strong showing in Practice 2, going quickest once again in the TC class in his No. 78 Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N1 TC, with a time of 2:27.223 placing him just ahead of the No. 37 MINI JCW Team MINI JCW TC Pro of Cristian Perocarpi in second.

Joey Jordan was also in the hunt in the No. 71 FTG Racing Mazda 3, slotting himself ahead of  Sally McNulty in fourth position in her No. 780 Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N1 TC, and Scott Thomson in fifth in his No. 66 MINI JCW Team MINI JCW TC Pro. 

TCA Class

PJ Groenke was back on top in the TCA class in the No. 62 MINI JCW Team MINI JCW with a time of 2:32.187, taking over from Alex Garcia in second place in the No. 14 Skip Barber Racing Honda Civic Si FE1. 

Maddy Lemke rounded off the Top 3 in her No. 9 Ascent Racing Honda Civic Si FE1, with Alan Grossberg continuing to familiarize himself with his No. 63 MINI JCW Team MINI JCW.
