- Battle at the Top Between Hyundai, Acura, and BMW
- Practice 2 Results
The TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing series returned to the track for Practice 2 at Circuit of The Americas late Thursday morning. With the sun climbing higher and temperatures beginning to rise, competitors made the most of the 25-minute session as teams fine-tuned setups and dialed in adjustments ahead of Qualifying later in the afternoon.
After going fastest in the opening practice session, it didn’t take long before Jeff Ricca returned to the top of the leaderboard in his No. 78 Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO in Practice 2. He continued to set purple sectors throughout the session, ultimately concluding the 25 minutes on track with a best lap time of 2:26.866.
Michael Garcia followed in second place with his No. 07 Skip Barber Racing Acura Integra Type S, getting up to speed quickly as he looks to secure another podium finish in the upcoming races.
After breaking into the top 5 in Practice 1, Nick Roberts rose to the occasion by going third-fastest in the next session on board his No. 29 Fast Track Racing BMW M2 CS (Cup). He was closely followed by PJ Groenke in the No. 76 Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO.
Fourth and fifth place were claimed by two more Ricca Autosport entries, with Eric Kunz slotting himself just marginally ahead of PJ Groenke in their respective No. 77 and No. 76 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO machines.
