Ricca Autosport Sets the Tone at Sebring in Practice 1
  • Jeff Ricca Fastest in Opening Session
  • Hyundai, Acura, and Toyota Occupy the Top 5
  • Practice 1 Results

The unmistakable bumps and bruising character of Sebring International Raceway welcomed competitors for the opening day of TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing. Known as the bumpiest circuit on the calendar, Sebring immediately tested drivers’ precision and resilience through the notoriously rough surface of this historic airfield circuit.

Picking up right where he left off after a strong double podium performance at Circuit of The Americas, Jeff Ricca wasted no time asserting himself at the top of the leaderboard with a flying time of 2:22.945. Behind the wheel of the No. 78 Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO, Ricca laid down the benchmark time in Practice 1, signaling his intent to convert pace into victory this weekend.

Back on track and representing the series’ title sponsor, Mike Ogren made his return to competition aboard the No. 07 Skip Barber Racing Acura Integra Type S. Running a part-time campaign this season, Ogren made his presence known with a strong outing around the 3.74-mile, 17-turn circuit.

Ricca Autosport continued to dominate the session with J. Sepulveda placing third in the sister No. 74 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO. Canadian driver Eric Kunz put in a solid showing as well, finishing fourth in the No. 77 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO, just ahead of JMF Motorsports’ Jonathan Neudorf, who rounded out the top five in his No. 4 Toyota GR Corolla TC.

Fan favorite PJ Groenke kept himself in the mix, settling into sixth on the timesheets with his No. 76 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO.
