Ricca Autosport Sweeps Top 5 Under Scorching Sebring Sun in Practice 2

The mid-day sun turned up the heat for Practice 2 at Sebring International Raceway, but it was Ricca Autosport that really brought the fire. In a commanding display, the team locked out the top five positions on the leaderboard, sending a clear message to the competition ahead of qualifying.

Jeff Ricca wasted no time putting the No. 78 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO at the top of the timesheets, setting the pace right out of the gate with a 2:22.939, edging out his morning best lap time by a mere 0.006. Hot on his heels was teammate PJ Groenke in the No. 76 entry, pushing hard in the beginning of the session.

Canadian Eric Kunz slotted himself into third early on in the No. 77 Elantra, but the battle for the top spots were far from settled. Connor Attrell, behind the wheel of the No. 75 Ricca Autosport machine, made his presence felt by slipping past Kunz mid-session. The two traded positions several times in a thrilling back-and-forth before Kunz ultimately secured the second-fastest time.

In the final moments of the session, Attrell laid down a late flyer to reclaim third place, bumping Groenke to fourth. CJ Sepulveda completed the Ricca Autosport sweep of the top five, placing his No. 74 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO fifth on the charts.

With Ricca Autosport clearly in control heading into qualifying, all eyes will be on whether anyone can break their stranglehold on the Sebring weekend.
