Triple the Thrills in Sebring for Hyundai N Trophy Cup Competitors

The Hyundai N Trophy Cup touched down in Florida for a thrilling three-race event at Sebring International Raceway in the TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing School championship, with the intensity of the on-track action in rounds five, six, and seven rivaling the blazing hot temperatures.

Jeff Ricca was the big winner on all fronts, completing a perfect sweep of the weekend with his No. 78 Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO, claiming all three wins in dominant fashion. This earned him an additional $1,500 in prize earnings for each victory, in addition to becoming the new leader in the Hyundai N Trophy Cup points standings, while also increasing the gap to the rest of the field in the main TC America series.

If he comes out on top in both championships at the end of the season, he would be awarded $10,000 in prize money for becoming TC America Driver Champion, and $5,000 for the Hyundai N Trophy Cup Champion. Furthermore, his status as team owner of Ricca Autosport would see him collect $5,000 for the Hyundai Manufacturer Championship.

Although Ricca had a strong grasp over the top step, the remaining podium outcomes varied greatly, with all remaining Ricca Autosport teammates earning a top 3 finish of their own throughout the event.

PJ Groenke completed the podium in Race 1, earning a third place result with his No. 76 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO, followed by sixth and fourth place finishes in the following races. Following the rounds in Sebring, Groenke moved up to second in the Hyundai N Trophy Cup standings, and second overall in the TC America championship.

Driver of the No. 77 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO, Eric Kunz, took home third place in Race 2, which marked his first podium finish in the series. Meanwhile, Connor Attrell and CJ Sepulveda shared the podium together in Race 3, with the No. 75 and No. 74 entries finishing second and third.

Prizes on the Line

The champion of the Hyundai N Trophy Cup season will receive an exclusive invitation to compete in the final round of the 2025 Hyundai N Festival one-make race series in South Korea, racing against Hyundai N Cup champions from around the world. Additionally, standout performers throughout the season may be selected for a post-season evaluation with Bryan Herta Autosport in the Elantra N TCR.

At the end of the season, Hyundai will also name one N Racing Scholar, a driver recognized for exceptional performance both on and off the track. This individual will earn the opportunity to compete in the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hour endurance race with Hyundai. The selection will be based on a combination of race results and overall contributions during the TC America season, with the final decision made by a panel of Hyundai racing executives and professional drivers.
