Qualifying Set by Practice 2 Results at VIR Following Weather Interruption

TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing School faced another interruption from Mother Nature at VIRginia International Raceway, as Thursday afternoon’s qualifying session was halted and ultimately abandoned due to inclement weather from severe thunderstorms in the area.

After a weather delay pushed back the start, the field was released for what was scheduled to be a fifteen-minute session. However, worsening conditions quickly brought out a red flag before any driver could set a flying lap.

With no official lap times recorded, the starting grid for Friday’s Race 1 will be determined by the results of Practice 2.

As a result, Jonathan Neudorf will lead the field to green in the No. 4 JMF Motorsports Toyota GR Corolla TC. He’ll be joined on the front row by Jeff Ricca in the No. 78 Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO. Making an impactful debut, series newcomer Andre Castro will start third in the No. 74 Ricca Autosport entry.

Let’s Get Racing

The TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing School field will return to the track for Race 1 on Friday, July 18th at 3:25 PM ET.
