INDIANAPOLIS, IN – SRO Motorsports Group America President and CEO Greg Gill led senior staff in delivering the 2019 State of the Series presentation Thursday at the Performance Racing Industry Show (PRI). Held in front of invited series teams, drivers and media, the presentation highlighted metrics from the successful 2019 season, the series’ 30th continuous year of sports car competition.
The 2019 SRO America season featured a total of 33 races held across 12 race weekends. The North American legs of the GT World Challenge series contributed to SRO’s impressive 2019 Worldwide footprint of 13 Championships and Series, 53 total race weekends, in 25 countries, across five continents, featuring 2,628 entries.
CBS Sports Network broadcasted 200 hours of live and tape delayed coverage of SRO America races and the series’ live stream broadcasts generated 6.5 million views globally in 2019, leading to 796 million impressions across all series touchpoints this past season. The annual Performance Racing Industry Show brings together over 1,100 exhibiting companies from over 50 countries – a number of SRO America race cars are on display at the show including the RealTime Racing Acura NSX EVO in the USAC Racing booth, the Pro/Am GT World Challenge Championship winning Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX EVO in the MBRP Exhaust booth, and the #TEAMSALLY Honda Civic Si in the Borla Exhaust booth.
