Watkins Glen, NY -  TC America Powered by Skip Barber Racing School qualified for Round 9 of the season. The #81 BMW M2 CS Cup of Jacob Ruud, driving for Classic BMW, continues his success with a TCX class pole, setting a fastest lap of 2:01.594, seven tenths quicker than his closest competitor in the #30 BMW, Steve Streimer driving for Hard Motorsport. 

The TC category saw championship leaders in the Honda Civic Type-R battle for the class pole - with the #92 of Eric Powell with Skip Barber Racing School edging out the #9 of Kevin Boehm, driving for DXDT Racing by three tenths of a second with a 2:04.408. The pair will continue their championship battle in Round 9 at Watkins Glen from the front row of the TC class.

The #16 Honda Civic Si of Carter Fartuch kept his pace from practice in his Skip Barber Racing School car, setting a lap of 2:09.796 and snagging pole in the TCA class. The #99 Honda Civic Si of Jose Blanco driving for VGMC Racing was second quickest, and will line up alongside Fartuch for the first race. The #22 Toyota 86 of Jesse Love will start on the second row of the TCA class alongside the #780 Honda Civic Si of Sally McNulty who continues to show speed at Watkins Glen International.
