Watkins Glen, New York - TC America powered by Skip Barber kicked off its fourth event of the season at the famed Watkins Glen International. With clear skies and the sun blazing down on the 3.84 miles New York track, the TC America drivers set flying laps during Practice 1.

With drivers attempting to tame the challenging Watkins Glen track, there were a few switch-ups in the top times throughout each class. The session was plagued by two red flags, but drivers were able to take full advantage of their remaining track time to set fast laps and report back to their teams for set-up adjustments.

Lucas Catania, commanding his #26 Rigid Speed BMW M2 CS laid an impressive lap time of 2:03.036, 0.830 faster than championship-leader Jacob Ruud in the #1 Fast Track Racing BMW M2 CS. Ruud’s teammate, Garett Adams in the #54 machine, rounded off the Top 3. The #44 Rooster Hall Racing BMW M2 CS of Colin Garrett came in fourth, only 0.558 faster than New Yorker Stephen Cugliari, who will be looking at claiming his first season win aboard his #57 Accelerating Performance BMW.
