SONOMA, CALIF. – Johan Schwartz had the fastest time this morning for the TC field’s first practice session of the weekend at Sonoma Raceway. TC America is in action June 7-9 at Sonoma Raceway’s 12-turn, 2.52-mile road course. The 35-minute session was held under sunny 55-degree Fahrenheit weather.
Schwartz, a former series champion (2015 TCB), comes into the weekend leading in the TC driver’s championship standings. He posted a 1:52.311 in the #80 Rooster Hall Racing BMW M240iR Cup to top the charts.
Toby Grahovec in the #26 Classic BMW M240iR Cup posted the second fastest time of the session with a 1:54.219. The 2016 TC Driver’s Champion comes into the weekend second in the driver’s championship standings.
Rounding out the top three on the charts was Cameron Evans in the #82 Copart / BimmerWorld Racing BMW M240iR Cup (1:54.018)
On-track action continues Friday, June 7 with the second TC practice session of the weekend at 1:45 pm Pacific. The first TC race of the weekend is scheduled to go green Saturday, June 8 at 1:45 pm Pacific. All races will be streamed live on TCAmerica.us, with race highlights on CBS Sports Network.
