After an eventful competition weekend at Sonoma Raceway, HARD Motorsport will be returning to competition in the upcoming SRO TC America event at Portland International Raceway.
“Due to the severity of the damage our car took at Sonoma, it looked like our chances of competing in a race only 4 weeks away was slim.” - Josh Wolkersdorfer, Crew Chief.
“Through some very last minute efforts by team Principal Adam Harding, we were able to get together with the Classic BMW Team and get a car to use from them for the Portland event.”
Shaun Webster driving the #31 HARD Motorsport BMW M235iR was competing in his first ever SRO weekend at Sonoma where he left the track surface at high speed, and upon reentering the track the car rolled over several times. With the help of SRO’s fast emergency response, Shaun was not injured during the event.
“Despite the crash, Shaun expressed to us how ready he was to jump in a race car and keep competing. So much so that he was racing again the very next weekend. Shaun was fast and competitive at Sonoma so we are very eager to have him race with us again in Portland.”
Portland International Raceway is the closest home track of the series for HARD Motorsport, come, say Hi, and show your support at the HARD Motorsport Trailer.
