Neudorf Tops Practice 2 in Tight TC America Battle at Barber

The second TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing School practice session at Barber Motorsports Park unfolded under bright skies and rising Alabama heat, setting the tone for more action at the UAB Medicine GT World Alabama benefiting Teal Wings of Hope event.

This time, it was Jonathan Neudorf who stole the spotlight. Behind the wheel of the No. 4 JMF Motorsports Toyota GR Corolla TC, Neudorf led much of the session, fending off relentless pressure from Jeff Ricca in the No. 78 Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N1 TC EVO. The pair continued their early weekend duel, separated by a razor-thin margin of just 0.186 seconds.

Eric Kunz put in a strong run to climb to third in the No. 77 Ricca Autosport Hyundai, followed closely by new entrant Alana Carter in the No. 74 sister car, who impressed in her first TC America event with the team. It looked as though Carter would hang on to fourth, but Connor Attrell had other plans. On his final flying lap in the No. 75 Hyundai, Attrell jumped ahead to claim fourth place, pushing Carter back to fifth.

With two practices in the books, Hyundai and Toyota have shown their strength early at Barber, while the mix of series veterans and fresh faces has added extra intrigue to the grid. The stage is now set for a thrilling qualifying session first thing Friday morning, as the front-runners and newcomers alike look to convert practice pace into prime starting positions.
