TC America Builds Momentum for 2026

TC America Builds Momentum for 2026

A new era is about to begin for the TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing championship, as the updated format changes for the 2026 season are taking effect in the opening rounds at Sonoma Raceway. The series is going into its second year with a streamlined, single-class structure, but now the championship will be moving to a 35-minute sprint race format, which is bound to introduce even more exciting battles between competitive manufacturers such as Acura, BMW, Hyundai, Mazda, and Toyota.

Acura

Acura enters the 2026 season with a strong three-car presence centered around the Acura Integra Type-S DE5 platform. Skip Barber Racing will field two entries with the No. 7 and No. 25 machines, reinforcing the team’s commitment to the championship, and Precision Racing LA adds a third Acura to the lineup with the No. 73 Integra.

Hyundai

Hyundai once again brings a strong lineup to TC America, with multiple entries under the Ricca Autosport banner, as the No. 18 Fawn Group MS by Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N1 TC joins the grid alongside five additional Ricca Autosport entries – the No. 8, 33, 76, 77, and 78.

With both N1 TC and N1 TC EVO machinery represented, Hyundai’s multi-car effort underscores the brand’s continued investment and success in touring car competition. Expect the Elantra platform to be a consistent presence at the front of the field as they aim for another sweep of the driver, team, and manufacturer championships.

Mazda

FTG Racing will campaign the No. 71 Mazda 3 TC, adding another competitive manufacturer to the grid. The Mazda 3 has proven to be a dynamic and capable touring car platform, and its return adds further variety to the field as they seek a strong return to the competition.

Toyota

Toyota returns to TC America with JMF Motorsports once again fielding the No. 3 and No. 4 Toyota GR Corolla TC entries, this time with Jesse Dorkin and Braydon Arthur at the helm. After a very strong second half of the 2025 season, the team carries significant momentum into 2026 and will be aiming to mount a championship challenge from the opening rounds. Expect Toyota to be firmly in the mix as the title fight unfolds.

BMW

The BMW M2 CS (Cup) has been a proven contender in the championship over the years, and as deliveries are expected to take place in the near future, additional entries are expected as customers get their preparations underway.
