Justin Gravett Races His First Full Season
Justin Gravett, will join Ricca Autosport for his first full season of competition in TC America Powered by Skip Barber, racing with the official SRO Hyundai USA team as part of the Hyundai program’s continued push for another manufacturer championship.
Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, and now residing in Austin, Gravett grew up watching NASCAR and still attends as many races as he can. He began his racing career in 2024 at his local circuit, Harris Hill Raceway, competing in a Miata club series. His interest led him quickly to higher levels of competition, and in 2025 he moved into Spec Miata competition with the SCCA, gaining valuable race experience across multiple events.
This season marks a major step forward for Gravett as he expands his racing program. In addition to a full campaign in TC America with Ricca Autosport, he will also compete in a full season of the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship with JTR Motorsports Engineering, further developing his racecraft for a competitive season.
Gravett first connected with Ricca Autosport team owner Jeff Ricca last season, when Ricca invited him to participate in a team test at VIRginia International Raceway. The test quickly turned into a race opportunity, and just a month later Gravett joined the team for the TC America rounds at Road America.
Despite it being his first experience racing the car in competition, Gravett impressed immediately, scoring two second-place finishes over the race weekend. The performance caught the attention of both Ricca Autosport and Hyundai, who see the young Texan as a strong contender heading into the season.
“Justin showed right away that he has the speed, discipline, and racecraft to compete at the front of this field,” said Jeff Ricca, Team Owner of Ricca Autosport. “Hyundai believes in the program we’re building with him, and with a full season under his belt I fully expect Justin to be fighting for wins and to be in the championship conversation.”
Gravett, in the No. 8 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC Evo, will be racing on a mission this season representing the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and supporting first responders and military veterans by providing mortgage-free homes to families in need. The program was founded in memory of firefighter Stephen Siller, who lost his life during the September 11th attacks.
In addition to carrying the foundation’s logo on his car, Gravett plans to launch a dedicated webpage prior to the start of the season where fans and supporters can contribute directly to the organization.
“I wanted my racing to be about more than just me,” said Gravett. “This gives me an opportunity to support an incredible cause and hopefully make a real difference. My goal this season is to raise $50,000 for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.”
Now entering his first full season with Ricca Autosport and Hyundai machinery, Gravett is eager to build on the momentum from last year’s podium performances and continue developing with TC America’s most competitive program.
