The Hyundai N Trophy Cup Returns for Second Season

The Hyundai N Trophy Cup Returns for Second Season

After making its debut in 2025 at Circuit of The Americas, the Hyundai N Trophy Cup is returning for another season as the championship-within-a-championship continues to grow as a key part of the brand’s expanding presence in North American touring car racing.

The Hyundai N Trophy Cup runs alongside TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing School, bringing an added layer of competition to the paddock and giving Hyundai drivers and teams an additional battle beyond the overall championship fight. Eligible Hyundai entries compete not only for class wins and podiums, but also to be the top-finishing Hyundai at select rounds throughout the season.

The format proved to be an instant success in its debut year, adding a compelling intra-brand rivalry that played out across multiple race weekends, which began at COTA and continued at venues like Sebring International Raceway, Barber Motorsports Park, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Hyundai competitors once again have access to contingency payouts tied to both TC America results and Trophy Cup finishes, along with end-of-season awards recognizing top drivers and teams. The champion earns an invitation to compete in the final round of Hyundai’s international one-make series in South Korea, going head-to-head with top Hyundai drivers from around the world.

The N Racing Scholar program also returns as a cornerstone initiative, designed to identify rising talent within the TC America paddock, with the chosen driver earning a chance to compete in the legendary Nürburgring 24 Hours with Hyundai.

The contingency program awards prize money based on overall TC America race results, Hyundai N Trophy Cup results for the top finishing Hyundai per race, and end of season awards for the Hyundai Manufacturer Championship, TC America Driver Champion, Hyundai N Trophy Cup Champion, and Hyundai N Racing Scholar.

The first season crowned a deserving champion and established the Hyundai N Trophy Cup as a meaningful addition to the TC America landscape. With competitive grids, financial incentives, and a clear progression pathway, the program quickly proved its value to both drivers and teams.

Now, as the field returns to COTA to kick off the next chapter, the stage is set for even tighter battles among Hyundai competitors and even bigger opportunities beyond the paddock.
