As the TC America championship heads to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Ricca Autosport and Hyundai USA arrive with more than competition in mind. The No. 33 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC Evo, driven by Eric Kunz, will once again carry the colors of Hyundai Hope on Wheels, reinforcing a mission that extends well beyond the racetrack.
The No. 33 entry features a special Hyundai Hope on Wheels livery, representing the organization’s mission to fund pediatric cancer research that drives innovation, advances discovery, and improves care for children facing cancer across North America. Backed by Hyundai USA and Hyundai Canada, along with their dealer networks, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has made a lasting impact through decades of funding and advocacy.
The number 33 itself has become synonymous with that mission within Hyundai’s motorsports efforts as it honors Reese Imhoff photographed below, a friend of the team who passed away from a rare form of bone cancer.
For Kunz, the connection goes beyond the track. Living with a rare disease has shaped how he views both his racing career and the platform it creates, deepening his commitment to supporting initiatives like Hyundai Hope on Wheels.
Kunz is also a rare disease advocate and founder of Driven Living, a platform that uses motorsport to bring awareness, connection, and moments of hope to individuals and families facing serious health challenges.
“Being able to represent Hyundai Hope on Wheels as an ambassador through the No. 33, in honor of Reese and the families this program supports is really meaningful to me,” Kunz said. “If we can help bring a bit of hope to kids and families going through tough times, even in a small way, that’s what makes this so special.”
Heading into Sebring, Ricca Autosport looks to build on early-season momentum in TC America competition while continuing to amplify the message behind the No. 33 car. Known for its demanding surface and historic significance, Sebring provides a fitting stage for both competitive performance and purposeful storytelling.
With Kunz behind the wheel and Hyundai Hope on Wheels front and center, the No. 33 entry represents a powerful intersection of racing ambition and real-world impact, proving that success can be measured in more than just finishing positions.
