Avondale, Louisiana - As soon as the green flag dropped and the clock started, the #1, BMW M2 CS Fast Track Racing driven by Jacob Ruud took the lead and never looked back, clocking in the fastest lap time overall and in the TCX class with a 1:50.353. In the overall standings for the second practice on the day, Ruud was followed by #44, BMW M2 CS Rooster Hall Racing with Colin Garrett at the wheel with a lap time of 1:50.702, and #26, BMW M2 CS Rigid Speed piloted by Lucas Cantania who drove to a 1:51.641 lap time.
The TC Class was led by #37, Honda Civic Type-R LA Honda World Racing who posted an in-class fastest lap time of 1:52.981 with Matt Pombo. Posting a second fastest lap time was the #9, Honda Civic Type-R Skip Barber Racing driven by Kevin Boehm with a 1:53.300, followed by the #60, Mini JCW Pro TC MINI JCW Team who put down a lap time of 1:53.441 with Clay Williams at the wheel.
In TCA class action Carter Fartuch driving the #16, Honda Civic Si Skip Barber Racing School had the fastest lap time of 1:58.577. Coming in a close second in class was the #5, Honda Civic Si LA Honda World Racing, with Spencer Bucknum at the wheel who turned in a 1:58.671. Rounding out the top three in TCA was the #21, Subaru BRZ TechSport Racing, driven by Gresham Wagner who clocked a lap time of 1:58.783.
The TC America racing action continues on Saturday, May 21 with Qualifying starting at 8 a.m. CST. Race 1 begins at 11:20 a.m.
