The track temperatures continued to rise under the intense sun, but the TC America Powered by Skip Barber field brought some heat of their own for Practice Two on Friday afternoon. The drivers lit Sebring ablaze as they pushed their machines to the limits as teams continued to prepare for the early morning qualifying session taking place Saturday morning.

Dai Yoshihara rose to the occasion quickly and swiftly in the TCX class, putting his No. 99 VGRT Honda Civic Type-R to the test around the old-school circuit and claiming the best time of the session. He was followed by Lucas Catania in the No. 26 Rigid Speed Company BMW M2 CS (Cup), securing another second-place finish today and once again setting himself up as one to watch. Newcomer Joseph Pizzuto made an entrance into the Top 3 with his No. 45 Extreme Velocity Motorsports BMW M2 CS (Cup).
Kenny Schmied made a return to fourth place once more in the No. 14 AOA Racing BMW M2 CS (Cup), accompanied by Practice One’s leader, Colin Garrett, in his trusty No. 44 Rooster Hall Racing BMW M2 CS (Cup).

The No. 60 MINI JCW Team Mini JCW Pro TC of Clayton Williams was the one to beat this afternoon in the TC class, with his rapid time of 2:23.413 proving to be unmatchable for the rest of the field. The next closest competitor was Jeff Ricca in the No. 78 Genracer / Ricca Autosport Hyundai Elantra N TC, who kept Williams well within his sights, sitting just 0.123 seconds behind.
Cristian Perocarpi completed the MINI JCW Team sandwich by claiming third place in his No. 37 MINI JCW Team Mini JCW Pro TC.
Fourth place belonged to Celso Nato in the No. 7 Skip Barber Racing School Honda Civic Type-R, with Sally McNulty completing the day with another Top 5 finish in the No. 780 GenRacer Hyundai Veloster N DCT TC.

There were many shake-ups in the TCA class in comparison to the morning’s practice session, notably with Spencer Bucknum jumping up to first in his No. 5 LA Honda World Racing Honda Civic Si FE1. William Lambros, who claimed the top spot in Practice One, was bumped to second place in Practice Two in the No. 77 Skip Barber Racing School Honda Civic Si FE1, with Devin Anderson also closing in just behind in third with the No. 22 TechSport Racing Subaru BRZ.
P.J. Groenke and Shaoyi Che also wrapped up their days with another fourth and fifth place finish in the No. 62 MINI JCW Team Mini JCW and No. 23 TechSport Racing Subaru BRZ.
