Ricca Autosport returns to Road America next weekend for Rounds 9 and 10 of the 2026 TC America Championship with the team firmly in the middle of the championship fight and a strengthened driver lineup that brings both a familiar face back to the paddock and a new international addition to the Ricca Autosport program.
Championship leader Andre Castro enters the weekend carrying a 10-point advantage in the No. 77 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC Evo, while Justin Gravett and Eric Kunz continue their pursuit of strong results in the championship fight. Joining them will be the return of Matan Rosenberg in the No. 78 Hyundai, his first TC America appearance since the season opener at Sonoma, and Mexican driver Ricardo Cordero, who will make his Ricca Autosport debut behind the wheel of the No. 76 Hyundai as well as Shelby Mills, continuing his progression with Fanw Motorsports Group.

Championship Battle Resumes at Road America
After a summer break following the June rounds at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Ricca Autosport returns to competition with the TC America championship battle tighter than ever.
Andre Castro has established himself as one of the drivers to beat through the opening half of the season. The No. 77 Hyundai driver has recorded three victories and four podium finishes across the first eight races, giving him a 10-point advantage over his closest championship rival heading into Road America.
The narrow margin puts an increased emphasis on consistency as the championship resumes. Justin Gravett and Eric Kunz will also return to the fight, with Gravett sitting at third in the overall championship, giving Ricca Autosport multiple drivers capable of challenging for front-running positions and valuable championship points.
Just outside the team's primary championship lineup, Shelby Mills has continued to make steady progress throughout the season in the No. 18 Fawn Motorsports Group Hyundai. After gaining experience through the early rounds of the championship, Mills has increasingly shown the pace and racecraft needed to compete deeper into the TC America field.
His development has been part of the larger Ricca Autosport driver ecosystem, with the team continuing to emphasize coaching, data analysis, video review, and sharing knowledge between its experienced drivers and developing talent.
A Familiar Face Returns to the No. 78
One of the biggest changes to the Ricca Autosport lineup will be the return of Matan Rosenberg.
Rosenberg competed with the team during the season-opening weekend at Sonoma Raceway, gaining his first experience in TC America competition before turning his attention to a full-season campaign in GridLife's GLGT class.
That program has delivered an impressive season of its own. With only one GridLife weekend remaining, Rosenberg enters the finale second in the championship and just one point behind the series leader.
His return to TC America gives Rosenberg an opportunity to bring the experience gained through an entire season of competition back into the Ricca Autosport paddock.
The No. 78 Hyundai also carries additional significance for the team, having been driven by team owner Jeff Ricca during the Road Atlanta rounds earlier this season. Ricca, the 2025 TC America champion, will once again focus on team management, driver coaching, and supporting the expanded Ricca Autosport operation from the paddock.
Ricardo Cordero Makes Ricca Autosport Debut
Road America will also mark a new chapter for Ricca Autosport as Ricardo Cordero joins the team in the No. 76 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC Evo.
Cordero becomes the first Mexican driver to compete with Ricca Autosport, expanding the team's increasingly international driver development program. His arrival continues a season in which Ricca Autosport has placed an emphasis on creating opportunities for drivers from different backgrounds to compete within the Hyundai customer racing program.
For Cordero, Road America will provide the opportunity to immediately step into one of the most demanding circuits on the TC America calendar. The 4.025-mile, 14-turn circuit is known for its long straights, high-speed corners, elevation changes, and demanding braking zones, placing a premium on both driver commitment and mechanical efficiency.
Hyundai Driver Development Continues Across the Paddock
The Road America weekend will showcase the range of Ricca Autosport's driver development philosophy, with several drivers arriving at the circuit from very different paths.
Castro enters as a championship contender, while Rosenberg returns after spending the majority of the season building experience in GridLife GLGT. Cordero will begin his relationship with the team as he makes his TC America debut with Ricca Autosport, while Mills continues the steady progression he has demonstrated throughout the season with Fawn Motorsports Group.
The collaboration between teams and drivers has become an important part of Ricca Autosport's approach to Hyundai customer racing. At Road Atlanta, Bryan Herta Autosport driver Mark Wilkins joined the team to assist with video analysis, car control, and driver placement, helping the Ricca Autosport crew support its drivers while continuing to build a culture in which experience is shared throughout the paddock.
For team owner Jeff Ricca, that culture remains central to the team's approach.
“We've made a lot of progress this year, not just in terms of results, but in building Ricca Autosport into a stronger development platform for Hyundai,” said Ricca. “We're giving drivers opportunities to come into the program at different stages of their careers, learn from the people around them, and continue moving forward. That's really what we're trying to build with Hyundai — a place where drivers can develop, where experience gets shared, and where we can help create the next generation of Hyundai racers. Seeing that happen across the entire group is incredibly rewarding, and I think the progress we're making as a team is just as important as the results we're putting on the board.”
With Castro holding only a 10-point advantage, the championship remains firmly within reach for the field. For Ricca Autosport, the objective is clear: maximize the opportunity, keep the Hyundai Elantra N1 TC Evo cars at the front, and leave Road America with momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
TC America Race 1 is scheduled for Friday, August 28 at 11:55 a.m. ET, with Race 2 scheduled for Saturday, August 29 at 12:05 p.m. CT. Both races will be available through the TC America live stream and GT World YouTube channel.
